Day 25

Choosing by Location vs Choosing by Care Quality

Families often prioritise distance, but care quality can matter even more over time. If the nearest home is not a good fit, consider slightly farther options with stronger clinical and communication performance. Balance travel burden with resident outcomes. In many cases, a better-quality home 20–30 minutes farther can be the better long-term choice. Use objective criteria and revisit priorities as needs evolve.
